Statement in Question:
Is Joe Biden’s claim – that it is “smear campaign” concerning reports, censored by the media, that the emails discovered on the laptop of his son Hunter Biden prove influence peddling – true?
Background/Context: A laptop formerly belonging to Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President, and Presidential candidate Joe Biden, was discovered at a computer repair shot. The repairman found sensitive emails sent to Hunter Biden on the laptop. The emails detail how Hunter Biden was paid huge sums of money (millions of dollars) by China and the Ukraine for access to the former V.P. in order for his clients – foreign governments – to have access to the V.P. in order to influence U.S. Foreign policy.
Is this a hoax? True or False: False. The claim that that the emails or the laptop is a hoax, “Russian disinformation”, or a smear campaign is false.
Degree of Certainty: Very high
Reasons:
1. The director of national Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, indicates the laptop is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign. (See Below)
2. The laptop is real. It is neither fiction, nor a hoax. (See Below)
3. The emails are real and are confirmed. (See Below)

Concluding Comments:
There is no question that the laptop is real, the emails are authentic, and Joe Biden is lying about knowing nothing about his son Hunter’s business, and not being involved. On the contrary these emails show that Hunter Biden was selling access to his father Joe Biden, then Vice President, for very handsome sums so that his clients – foreign governments – could influence U.S. foreign policy
